Ryanair, one of the leading European low cost airlines has announced that it will be launching a number of new routes to Spain from the UK as of next year. As well the new routes, Ryanair said that it will also be increasing the frequency of flights on a number of current routes to Spain.
The new flights, which will come into effect later this year, are in response to the large increase in demand for flights to Spain. According to Ryanair, Bournemouth Airport will be home to many of the new flights, with new routes to Barcelona Girona, Lanzarote, Alicante, Malaga and Tenerife all starting in February. A new route to Ibiza will also be starting in March 2012. March will also see the launch of a number of new flights from Bristol Airport to destinations including Ibiza, Valencia and Barcelona.
The introduction of more cheap flights to Spain can only be seen as positive news for the Spanish property market, which following a subdued 2011 is looking to rejuvenate demand for properties for sale in Spain. Undoubtedly, it will take time for the trickledown effect to work its way through to the real estate market, however it is a step in the right direction for the Spanish property market.
