A new report out this week by Fotocasa.es, has stated that the cost of renting a property in the coastal regions of Spain have dropped by an average of 3% in 2011, in comparison with the same period last year. Fotocasa went on to report that decreases of up to 15% were seen in the Malaga region, however destinations such as Almunecar on the Granada coast saw increases in excess of 7%.
The report went on to state that the cheapest destination rental property in Spain on the coast was the Valencian city of Sagunto, where prices fell below five euros per square metre per month. Overall, the majority of coastal regions saw slight decreases in rental prices, ranging from 1.6% on the north coast of Spain, to just under 5% in the Murcia region.
